Accelerator partner: Eide Bailly offers accounting expertise

The Zeal Center for Entrepreneurship is excited to partner with Eide Bailly in its 2017 accelerator program. Eide Bailly will offer accounting and other services to the businesses selected to participate in the accelerator, which launches June 29.

Eide Bailly partner Keith Severson shared with us why his firm supports the program:

“Eide Bailly’s partnership with Zeal goes back many years. As a past board member of the South Dakota Technology Business Center and participant of its transition to Zeal, we have helped to provide strategic vision for what we felt was a critical component of the development of the entrepreneurial community in Sioux Falls. That entrepreneurial spirit is alive and growing in Sioux Falls today. With the addition of the accelerator program, early stage companies are able to achieve the rapid growth they are capable of and dream of.  I am thrilled we are able to be a part of making that happen.”

While Eide Bailly is a strong supporter of initiatives such as the Sioux Falls Development Foundation and Forward Sioux Falls, which work to attract large businesses, Severson points out the foundation of the firm is small to midsize businesses. That is what has contributed to the success of Eide Bailly, which recently celebrated its 100th anniversary.

Today’s entrepreneurs play an important role in developing our local and national economy. The technological, medical and countless other innovative advancements that result from the entrepreneurial environment benefit everyone. When given the opportunity to partner with Zeal on the accelerator program, it was a natural fit for Eide Bailly.

Maybe it was more of a natural progression. This spring, Eide Bailly established office hours at Zeal to help tenants with some of their financial questions. It’s all part of a new offering, Business Outsourcing & Strategy.  BOS frees up small-business owners, from startups to those more established, to focus on what really matters: growing their business. BOS outsources critical business functions, from accounting, payroll and controller services to CFO, management advisory and mentorship.  Zeal entrepreneurs have been making good use of BOS resources.

And that’s what it’s all about.  A partnership that grows over time.
