SBIR Workshop: Planning your commercialization strategy

An SBIR orchestrated event:
Day 1 - 8:30am to 4pm Sioux Falls (Zeal Center, 2329 N. Career Ave.)
The Federal SBIR/STTR programs award over $3 billion in high risk R&D funding annually to qualified small businesses. The process is complex with a steep learning curve, but the impact of receiving millions in non-dilutive funding is worth the effort! During the morning of this program you will learn about SBIR/STTR eligibility, how SBIR and STTR differ, selecting the right agency for your technology and more. The afternoon will focus on essential elements of a credible commercialization plan, including agency expectations, components of an effective plan, sources of market research data, and supporting documents you will need.

Day 2 - 8:30am to 4pm Brookings (Research Park @ SDSU, 2301 Research Park Way)
Join SBIR/STTR expert, Becky Aistrup, for closer look at creating a competitive proposal to meet the mission, standards and requirements of the NIH, NSF and USDA programs. Becky will cover the distinguishing features and technology areas addressed by each of the agencies, getting registered so you can submit, and preparing proposal components for maximum impact.
